Top Tips for Summer Lymph Support & Hydration

The time has come to get serious about hydration! With the warmer weather, there's no better time to get your lymph moving and get juicy! Here's a few of my top tips for ensuring your body is absorbing and properly processing water: 

  • Add sea salt to your water! I recommend at least one big glass of warm salty water right when you wake up. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of sea salt for 12 oz (really it's to taste). This will help warm up your digestive system and the electrolytes help your body to absorb the water. I like EDEN brand or dhyana Essentials Atlantic Sea Salt. Or if you live locally, you can buy sea salt from me!

  • Take Fish Oil- High quality fish oil really supports the absorption of water into our cells. When our cell membranes are juicy, they can more easily regulate the uptake and release of water. I recommend 2 TBSP of fish oil per day- my favorite brands are Nordic Naturals and Carlson's

  • Be sure you're getting probiotics in your food! Kimchi, Saurkraut, Yogurt, Kvass, and Kefir are all great sources of  probiotics. Be sure to get organic products that are ideally sourced locally. You can also get a high quality probiotic such as ProFlora 4r. 

  • Try Lymphatic Support Practices- When our lymph is healthy, we can more easily process water in our body. Here is a PDF with all of my favorite lymph support practices!
